iQOS 3 and iQOS 3 Multi are the latest models of the tobacco-heating device from Philip Morris International (PMI) and were released on November 15th, 2018 in Japan, while iQOS 2.4 Plus was released on March 3rd, 2017. Both devices use PMI’s HeatControl Technology™ to heat specially designed heated tobacco sticks, but the new versions of the device feature a number of improvements.

Both iQOS models feature a new LED display which provides users with important information such as battery life, time to clean the device, and when their heated tobacco stick is ready for use.

IQOS 2.4 Plus and IQOS 3

IQOS 2.4 Plus

IQOS 2.4 Plus is a heat tobacco device specially designed for IQOS heat sticks. It features a sleek and compact design that is easy to carry and use. IQOS 3 is also a great invention of PMI in the world of smoking. Its LED display provides more information such as battery life, time to clean the device, and when the heated tobacco stick is ready for use. IQOS 3 also has improved battery life, allowing users to enjoy up to 25 heat sticks on a single charge.

What is the difference between iQOS 3 and iQOS 2.4 Plus?

The IQOS 3 device has several differences compared to the IQOS 2.4 Plus, both big and small. The IQOS 3 device is a bit slimmer and narrower than the 2.4 Plus, while still boasting almost the same thickness. Furthermore, charging the holder of the IQOS 3 device takes 20 seconds less than with the 2.4+ model, due to an improved design.

The IQOS 3 also comes with a USB-C port instead of a Micro USB as used by its predecessor. Additionally, it only features one power button as opposed to two in the previous version - a power button and reset button - which can be used to restart the machine and clear any red lights that may have appeared.

Finally, it's worth noting that not only does the probability of red light presence reduce when using this model but also that users can switch up their side clip color on the charger itself - a feature not available with IQOS 2.4+.

IQOS 3 Multi

The IQOS 3 Multi offers a sleek, integrated design with its charger and holder combo. This model is more compact than previous designs, such as LIL, and it's easy to see why smokers love it.

Not only can you enjoy up to 10 puffs consecutively on your IQOS 3 Multi, but you can also replace the cap - though you will need to buy this separately.

Sadly, getting all these great features means sacrificing battery life span which might not be ideal for those who don't use their device with a charger.
